Story
Bera Prime Movers was established in 2024 from a humble background, inspired by the founder's early legal experience. The founder began as an assistant in the legal firm of Leonard Sekento, based in Kajiado. He later pursued legal education through the Open University of Tanzania online, though he was unable to complete a diploma in law due to other commitments. Instead, he chose to invest in his daughter's legal education so that she could handle all professional legal matters in court, while he focused on running the broader operations of the company as Founder and Director.
Today, the company has diversified into several sectors of operation. Our offices are located both at the Namanga border and at the Port of Mombasa, Kenya. We are also expanding into Tanzania through our sister company, Bera Prime Movers (T) Limited, with offices in Namanga (Tanzania side) and plans to establish a presence at the Port of Dar es Salaam.
Our Mission
We are committed to delivering integrated, professional, and client-focused services in legal advocacy, logistics management, customs clearance, transport solutions, and insurance. Our mission is to empower businesses and individuals through timely delivery, legal precision, and secure protection-all under one reliable roof.
Our Vision
To be the most trusted, efficient, and innovative multi-service firm in East and Central Africa-delivering excellence in legal, logistics, Customs Agent and insurance solutions for a rapidly changing world.
Transport Sector Background
The founder's journey in the transport sector began in 2014 with the registration of a logistics company named Metrol Logistics and Services Co. Ltd. The first truck, an IVECO 420 Series, was imported from the UK in the same year. In 2015, the fleet expanded with two locally used Scania trucks, followed later by the purchase of a Mercedes Actros from a friend, Mr. Koome.
However, the years 2016 to 2020 brought major challenges. Both Scania trucks were involved in road accidents in the same year, and due to insufficient evidence provided to the insurance company, compensation was only partial. This setback marked a significant downturn in the transport business. By 2021, the Mercedes Actros faced legal ownership complications, as it had been co-owned and was tied as collateral with an insurance company. When payments defaulted, the truck was repossessed and impounded by the insurance brokers.
By 2022, only the original IVECO truck remained operational, but frequent breakdowns made it unsustainable to keep the business running. This marked the end of operations for Metrol Logistics and Services Co. Ltd in the transport sector
Insurance Sector Background
Parallel to transport, the founder gained experience in the insurance industry as a broker for Comesa third-party insurance. He worked under the agency of Mr. Geogratias Ndeo Ndanu in Namanga town, serving clients at the border for two years. This experience provided valuable insights into the industry and inspired the vision to establish an independent insurance agency to meet the growing needs at the border, alongside the company's clearing and forwarding services.

Bera Prime Movers envisions becoming a leading logistics, legal, and insurance services provider in East and Central Africa.
